The Brief
Rob da Bank's BBC Radio 1 show remit is to be a trusted source of emerging musical talent. Rob regularly broadcasts sessions with bands recorded at the BBC's Maida Vale studios but in Autumn 2013, he and his team wanted to do something a little different with live music that would not only produce some great audio, but also a series of visual moments.
The Solution
We invited four up-and-coming artists to come to BBC Broadcasting House and perform an impromptu busking session for anyone and everyone walking past. The artists who performed were Landshapes, Leon T Pearl, Nicky Mulvey and Ady Suleiman.
